Who is the ChickenMan?

The ChickenMan was born from the Covid-19 shutdown in Los Angeles. He was a Propman in the entertainment industry, before March 15th. With no income and a lot of time on his hands, he started smoking whole chickens and racks of ribs and delivering them all across the LA area. That’s when he started hearing the stories. Everyone he met had one to tell.

About the shutdown. 

Their worries. 

Their fears. 

Their hopes. 

Their plans.

There were some who lost almost everything thanks to the Shutdown, some who discovered new ways to thrive, and some who just kept going.  That’s when he decided to set off on a road trip across America to help others tell their tales.

And then the protests started. More stories, more worries, more fears... and fewer hopes.

The ChickenMan's mission became even more urgent. Where is the ChickenMan? Where ever he needs to be. Tell your story. The ChickenMan is listening.

I am the ChickenMan! Grant Redwine. The name was self chosen and intentionally ridiculous as a response to the crazy and ridiculous times we find ourselves in. My home based BBQ delivery service I started in response to my complete and total loss of income from the Covid-19 shutdown allowed me to make some money and allowed me to travel all over Los Angeles and deliver great food to folks that was made with love!
